Question description

NYCB, a bank struggling with high exposure to commercial real estate loans, gained a lifeline investment from a group led by former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin in March 2024 (Investopedia, Yahoo). The question will be suspended on 1 August 2024 and the outcome determined using data as reported by CNBC (CNBC, see "Market Cap"). Shares of NYCB need not trade for the full trading day on 2 August 2024 for it to be considered to have traded on that date. If the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the exchange on which NYCB trades, does not open for any trading on 2 August 2024, the outcome will be determined using the closing price from the most recent previous trading day for the NYSE so long as NYCB was traded on that day.
